A group of professionals, the best in their fields, have come together to make this endeavour a success. We have noted writers, journalists, educationists, media experts, web designers, IT professionals and experts in other fields who have teamed up to make this effort a success. In fact this is an unique platform where IT joins hands with reading and learning as well, a collaborative framework which is indeed the future for us. We do believe that our contemporary scenario, worldwide, will be moving towards platforms such as these.At the other end are our valued readers, whose happy participation would be another essentiality to make this project successful.

This endeavor is primarily Bengal-based, though our publications/library inclusions will not be limited entirely to those written in Bengali. We must remember that Bengalis are spread across the globe, and almost all of them enjoy connecting with their culture and, especially, their favorite language. Thus the need for such a reading platform is optimal, especially in view of the present exigencies. We are also proud to announce that access to all our books will be absolutely free, to begin with. Apart from catering to our readers worldwide, it is also our aim to spot and encourage the work of talented and burgeoning writers. It is our belief that the printed word will continue to live on, the appeal of books will never lessen, even if the world around us continues to change as rapidly as it is doing now. Books are quite the pillars of civilization: they may change in form, but not in their essential spirit. It is to uphold this fundamental and enduring spirit- one that the bibliophiles know best- that we present our digital publication-cum-library, e-reader.co.in. We wish to encourage the habit of reading, which, with our fast-paced lifestyle, has taken a back seat; with the reading material readily available at our fingertips, it will be easier for the readers to relate to literary and other kinds of texts within their own comfortable space. Digital publication does not only have a wider reach, but it is also instantaneous in connecting to the mass of readers. It is the best possible medium to ensure that one lives with the text, the written word, with the additional facility of flexible personal time. We wish to provide that unique, instant connect between author and reader which is perhaps not possible in traditional print media. OUR VISSION

Our endeavor to come up with a digital platform catering to online readership comes at a stressful time for all humanity: yet the moment is indeed opportune for an effort of this kind. At the moment, the entire world is homebound due to the corona-scare, living a life of social isolation when online communication remains the only means of staying connected. With libraries and bookshops closed, print editions of newspapers almost suspended, we are facing an unprecedented situation when the supply of our reading material has become painfully limited. At this watershed moment, we are coming up with our online reading platform e-reader.co.in, which is the unique combination of a publishing house and library. Readers can access uncounted number of books at the click of a finger- most of which would be new e-publications. These would be of different genres: fiction, of course, would be an important component, and would include all its different forms like thriller, romance, comedy, among others. There would also be technical books, books on education and on special skills.
